Welcome to MC 1100F: Digital Media Ethics. This class one of three one-credit “short-courses” offered by the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Texas State University, focused on exposing students to digital perspectives and skills as they pursue their respective areas of study.
Throughout the four weeks of this course, we will examine challenges and opportunities caused by technology and changing audience habits. We will consider relevant and thought-provoking case studies to develop a new framework for making moral choices in the digital age. As stated in the syllabus, this course will take place online in an asynchronous learning environment. Students will use TRACS to learn from Online Modules, complete assessments, communicate with one another through forums and e-mail and check their grades. Please read over the course syllabus, located on this site, and let me know if you have any questions on the format of this course.
